New Look 6107 Fitted Skirt

I needed a plain, slim fitted skirt to wear with a few outfits I had purchased this summer so I went through my patterns and came up with this one by New Look. The pattern itself contains a number of really nice designs so it was worth testing out.

What did you like about this pattern?

The fitting of the skirt was really beautiful and quite comfortable to wear. You have the option of a shorter or longer version in this pattern. I also loved how easy and quick it was to put this together. For beginner sewers this pattern would be ideal as it contains very minimal pattern pieces and New Look as a commercial brand has great instructions.

I have since made a number of these including black, denim and this version to go with a few outfits. It’s a great staple piece of clothing.

Apologies for not giving it a proper iron before taking the photos. As you can see it sits fairly high on your waist which I love on my body shape.

Did you make any alterations to the pattern?

No, I didn’t make any alterations to this pattern. It didn’t contain many pattern pieces and just came together really nicely.

Would you recommend this pattern to others?

Overall the pattern was great and a perfect wardrobe filler. Skirts are one of those things that I hate buying because I know how easy they are to make. This pattern will be high on my sewing list and I highly recommend it to others.
