What did you like about this pattern?

This size of this bag is perfect to fit your towel, wallet, phone, sunscreen and even your spare clothes! This is one of the first bag patterns that I’ve made so I was really happy with how easy the instructions and pattern pieces all came together. I also purchased this fabric off Spoonflower and it had been sitting in my stash for so long, not knowing what to make with it. So overall I was really happy with how it turned out.

I lined the base with some quilt wadding so that it sits up nicely and the rest was lined with a really lightweight interfacing which kept it light and floppy. I think the colour blocking of fabrics worked really well too. It’s super bright and perfect for the beach!

Thankfully in Queensland we have some of the most amazing beaches in the world so I’ve already tested this bag out a few times! Here is one of the beautiful sunny day on the Gold Coast just to make you all jealous.

Did you make any pattern alterations?

No alterations to the pattern. Just the choice of the different types of lining and interfacing to ensure that it held up, however this was included in the instructions.

Would you recommend this pattern to others?

I originally found this pattern on Craftsy back when you could download and purchase patterns off members so it was a really great find. I highly recommend giving this pattern a go, especially if you are new to sewing bags like I was.
